Birdhouse Competition

The London Community Woodshop is happy to announce our first ever Birdhouse Competition. This competition is open to all ages!

Step One

Construct your Birdhouse. Whether from a kit or designed and built by you, we can’t wait to see it!

You can also participate in one of our workshops!
Sunday, February 16 1-4pm $30+HST (Family Day Weekend)
Sunday, March 8 1-4pm $30+HST
You will leave this workshop ready to decorate!

Step Two

Decorate your Birdhouse. Creativity is encouraged. The only limitation is your imagination!

Step Three

Submit the online form and let us know you’re going to participate!

Categories include:
• Children (Under 11)
• Youth (12-17)
• Adult (18+)
• People’s Choice
First, Second and Third prizes awarded for each category!

Step four

Drop off your Birdhouse at the Woodshop between Wednesday, March 25 and Friday, March 27. (All entries must be onsite by Friday at 5pm).

Birdhouses will be on display from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, March 28th. Join us on Saturday, March 28th with winners announced at 12pm! BBQ to follow.

Expert Judges include:
• Jim Pickersgill, Retired business owner & Hobbyist, Expert Birdhouse Maker
• Arthur Lierman, Landscape Architect
• Paul Hubert, CEO Pathways Skill Development
• John Fleming, City Planner
