Introduction to Woodworking Machinery for Processing Solid Wood

3 Part Workshop Tuesday Evenings: Tuesday, April 10th, 17th & 24th (6-9pm)

Instructor: Julie McNab

This 9 hour course is an introduction to woodworking machines. Over three sessions we will take an in-depth look at the characteristics of solid wood, and the processes involved in developing a project from lumber in the rough to finished dimensions.
We will move at a pace that allows each student to develop confidence and a good understanding of machine safety. Throughout the course participants will be introduced to typical woodshop stationary power tools, including: jointer, planer, table saw, miter saw, drill press, band saw and router table.
This is a great opportunity to experience the shop and see what all the excitement is about!
